Michele Bachmann Drops Out of Race? Probably Coming Soon...

Photo by Gage Skidmore, more HERE
For most presidential candidates, when their campaign starts taking on water, the first sign their presidential run may be nearing its end is when staffers start jumping ship.
While this is definitely not the case in all situations, Newt Gingrich for example did a big comeback after a staff exodus, Michele Bachmann's campaign has apparently been taking on water, and staff now appear to be jumping ship.

As has been widely reported, Michele Bachmann's Iowa campaign chairman left his position with her campaign Wednesday night, and jumped on Ron Paul's political cruise ship. Apparently from the latest polls in Iowa, Congressman Ron Paul is in a tight race for first place in Iowa against former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

Will Michele Bachmann drop out of the 2012 presidential race if she does not place first in Iowa next week? I guess we will find out in 5 more days.
I personally believe that she will drop out if she does not win first, but in 2008 most Republican candidates stayed in the race at least through the middle of January.

Below are links to two books about Michele Bachmann, both released this year:

Newt Gingrich 3rd Party Run?

Newt Gingrich was asked by CNN's Wolf Blitzer in an interview that aired today, if he would rule out a third party presidential run. Newt Gingrich never provided an answer, and when Wolf pressed him on it, he avoided the question again.

Will Newt run as a third party, and with him not ruling out a third party run, does this spell the end of the Republican Party?

October Brewed! Coffees Consumed, Videos Produced

Coffee Beans
I turned a year older early in October. I have been working more hours each week than I would like, especially with school and full-time family duties each day, but I am grateful for a job; especially one where I can grab a cup of coffee each day on my way home.

I worked on a few political videos early in October, and posted those to my YouTube account, as well as one here on the site.

Now with November brewing, what coffees and caffeinated products did I consume in October, and what videos did I put together?  Let's take a look!

Why I Can't Support and Won't Vote for Herman Cain - Part I

Image used from Gage Skidmore, more HERE.

Coffee Beans
If you had mentioned Herman Cain to me before this year, I would not have known his name.  Herman Cain has shot to the top of the Republican field over the last month, and many people seem to be jumping on the "Cain Train".
What are some reasons I will not support or vote for Herman Cain?  Let's take a look!

Why I Can't Support and Won't Vote for Mitt Romney

Coffee Beans
I had not heard of Mitt Romney before the presidential race of 2007-2008.  I thought it was interesting that Mitt Romney was a Mormon, because I had been talking with Mormon missionaries for a few months when I learned about him.
I want to say from the start, the fact that Mitt Romney is a Mormon is NOT a reason I will not vote for him.  So, what is the main reason I will not support or vote for Mitt Romney for President in 2012?  Let's take a look!

Herman Cain's Campaign Strategy - Source Revealed

Coffee Beans
Herman Cain has shot to the top of the polls in the Republican field, and it seems like it happened overnight.  Does Herman Cain have a political strategy he is following, or is it all luck?
Recently, Herman Cain's campaign manager, Mark Block, told MSNBC's Chuck Todd where Herman Cain's campaign strategy comes from.
Watch the video below, which shows Herman Cain's inspiration for campaign strategy, and notice the similarities they use:

Interesting source indeed, but I do not think it's interesting from the marketing side.  Herman Cain is first, and foremost, a business man.  He is touting his history in climbing the corporate ladder as one of the reasons Americans should vote for him, and of course his 999 plan(which I personally don't like, but more on that later).

Do any of you find it surprising that Herman Cain would be using President Obama's strategy to get elected?

You can see Herman Cain's new book on linked below, as well as the book Herman Cain's campaign is apparently using strategies from to win his "journey to the White House":

Meet Our Coffee Machine and Pot - Krups

Coffee Beans
I have moved a lot over the last several years, and we have toted along one coffee machine/pot with us during each move, and it survived all the moves in pretty great condition.

I believe I received the coffee machine/pot as a Christmas gift either in 2000, or 2001, but I am not 100% positive because I can't find exact dates for when the series of coffee machines was released.

About 3 years ago after we moved into our house, my wife thought that our coffee pot we had been using took up too much counter space, so she went to the store and purchased us a new one.  You can see the "space saver" coffee machine below:

My initial reaction was probably something along the lines of, "Why do we need another coffee pot, when the one we have works just fine?", but I knew in her mind that more counter space = win, so I let it be.

Well, the "new" Hamilton Beach coffee pot that she purchased for us lasted right around a year, and then guess what, it BROKE!  Horror or horrors for a daily coffee drinker like myself, but luckily for us, I had stowed away our old coffee machine in a cabinet probably with the mindset of "Just in case something happens to this new one, we'll still have this one."

So, what does our coffee machine look like that we use basically on a daily basis?  Have a look below!
